Have your say on the Draft Community Plan

Council has prepared a Draft Shaping Our Future Whittlesea 2025 Strategic Community Plan as a result of wide community consultation during May this year.

The document includes a whole of community vision for the year 2025 and a Council Action Plan for 2009-2013.

The plan is due to be adopted by Council at its meeting on Tuesday, 24 November at 6.30 pm in the Council Offices, 25 Ferres Boulevard, South Morang.

During October a copy of the Draft Plan may be inspected at or obtained free of charge from:

• Council Offices, 25 Ferres Boulevard, South Morang
• The libraries at Mill Park, Lalor, Thomastown and the mobile library
• Whittlesea Courthouse, Church Street, Whittlesea
• Edge Youth Services, Westfield Shopping Centre, McDonalds Road Mill Park.

Anyone may make a written submission on the proposed plan, and these should be sent to the Chief Executive Officer, City of Whittlesea, Locked Bag 1, Bundoora, MDC, 3083 or via fax on 9217 2111.

Submissions may also be delivered to the Council Offices, 25 Ferres Boulevard, South Morang or emailed to communityplan@whittlesea.vic.gov.au or online via Council’s website at: http://www.whittlesea.vic.gov.au/shape-your-community/say.asp

All submissions received will be considered in relation to the material collected through the Shape Your Community consultations held throughout May this year.

Anyone making a written submission may also request to be heard in support of their submission before a Committee of Council. All submissions must be received by 10 am on Wednesday, 4 November, 2009.
