Services for Older People and People with a Disability
Council provides a range of services to support frail older people and people with disabilities to continue living independently and safely in their own homes.
Who can use these services?
Residents who are assessed as being unable to undertake their daily living tasks because they are frail or have a disability. Carers of these residents may also be supported. Clients who receive these services are required to pay a small fee.
Priority for services is given to people with the least ability to undertake tasks or those who do not have family or other people to help them. This includes the following:
- Frail older people who live alone
- People with dementia
- People with a disability who live alone
- Carers whose health or wellbeing is at risk
