Draft Budget 2017/18

Draft Budget 2017/18

Our Draft Budget 2017/18 is currently available for community feedback - take a look and have your say on how your rates and other funds will be spent.

In 2017/18 the City of Whittlesea will spend $247 million to deliver more than 100 community services and invest in essential new infrastructure.

This includes $54 million for our new works program, which includes more than projects to build and upgrade community centres, sporting fields and tennis courts, playgrounds, roads, bikepaths and footpaths across our new and established areas.

Our budgeting spending is guided by the needs of the community and goals outlined in our Community Plan.

We'll be accepting community submissions until 5pm on Friday 5 May 2017.

Formal submissions will be considered at an Advisory Committee of Council Meeting on Wednesday 17 May 2017.

Following community consultation, Council will consider adopting the budget at a Meeting of Council on Tuesday 30 May 2017 6.30pm.
