We’re planning to improve the appearance and features of Rochdale Square shops in Lalor. We’ve created a draft plan based on what the community have told us they want improved.
The main things to improve include:
- Creating an increased feeling of safety and better lighting
- The look and feel of the streetscape, including more nature, colour and art
- Making the shops easier to find and more things to do in the park
- Safer streets for people and better parking.
You’re invited to the Rochdale Square community event on Saturday 23 November from 11am - 2pm. You’ll be able to provide your feedback on the proposed concept and share your design ideas for artwork in the space.
There will be free food, coffee, activities and representatives from the City of Whittlesea and community groups. Please bring your own cup and consider walking or cycling to the event.
