Findon Road, The Lakes Blvd, Ferres Blvd intersection upgrade

The roundabout at Findon Road, The Lakes Boulevard and Ferres Boulevard is being converted into a traffic light intersection.

What's happening? 

We're converting the roundabout at Findon Road, The Lakes Boulevard and Ferres Boulevard into a traffic light intersection.

The works will includes:

  • Removing the existing roundabout at the Ferres Boulevard / The Lakes Boulevard / Findon Road intersection
  • Traffic signal upgrade and street lighting works to convert the existing roundabout at Findon Road intersection into a fully signalised intersection
  • Widening the approaches on Findon Road, Ferres Boulevard and The Lakes Boulevard intersection
  • Installation of on-road bicycle lanes.

 

Project update

All service relocation and excavation works are complete. We’re currently installing street lights, the traffic light poles and upgrading the footpaths.

Next up – we’ll be rolling out the top layer of asphalt, landscaping the area and installing signage.

The majority of works will occur during the day, Monday to Friday, between 7am to 6pm. Night works are required from time to time.

There will be some traffic changes during these works. Please allow some extra time to get where you need to be and observe on-site signage and instructions from traffic management staff.

Night works, 12-17 July

The intersection will be closed at night from Sunday 12 July until Friday 17 July, 8.30pm to 6.30am, for final asphalt works and line marking of the intersection.
