What is Call-to-Test?

The Call-to-Test service will enable some of our most vulnerable to get tested for coronavirus (COVID-19) at home with a qualified health clinician.

The service will improve access to testing for people in Metropolitan Melbourne who cannot leave home due to injury, healthy, mobility or other issues and meet who meet the eligibility criteria. The Call-to-Test service will arrange for a clinician to visit the home of an eligible person and conduct the test on their premises.

Eligibility for the Call-to-Test service

Access to the Call-to-Test service will be available to individuals who have coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms and meet the following criteria:

  • People with an injury, chronic health issue, or frailty affecting mobility
  • People with moderate to severe physical or psychosocial disability
  • People with moderate to severe mental health or behavioural issues not otherwise classified as a psychosocial disability
  • Carers for a person with moderate to severe disability
  • Individuals without symptoms who have been identified by DHHS as a close contact, have received direction from DHHS to get tested, and also meet any of the above criteria.
