Get red-y for a change

From 7 December 2020, residents may start seeing some red-lidded garbage bins across the municipality.

The new coloured lids for garbage bins will initially only be provided for new garbage bins ordered or for garbage bins that are lost, stolen or damaged and need to be replaced.

This progressive change will align the City of Whittlesea bin lid colours with the Australian Standard and is a requirement under the State Government’s Recycling Victoria policy.

There will be no changes to the collection service or what can go into the bin.
