It’s almost time to dig out your Santa hat, warm up your carolling voice and get ready for a festive night of fun at the City of Whittlesea Carols by Candlelight event on Friday 14 December.
This year the carols will move to a bigger location, the Terrace Lawns, Civic Centre, South Morang.
The event has outgrown Redleap Reserve, Mill Park. The Civic Centre is larger, more central with good parking and public transport and access.
Bring the whole family and enjoy an evening of carol singing and entertainment by the Community Carols Choir and Diamond Valley Brass Band.
There will be plenty of entertainment for the kids including face painting, a live nativity scene, animal farm and art workshops.
And of course there will a special visit from Santa who’s bringing a special touch of magic to the carols this year.
Residents are encouraged to leave the car at home and catch public transport or walk or ride to the event.
South Morang train station is an easy 500m walk from the event and many bus routes also stop at the station.
Council is trying to reduce the impact on the environment, so this event will be free from polystyrene packaging and plastic items including balloons, bags and straws, and we encourage you to bring along your own reusable coffee cup, bag and water bottle.
When: Friday 14 December, 7pm-10pm
Where: Terrace Lawns, Civic Centre 25 Ferres Boulevard South Morang
