If you’ve visited our Civic Centre this week, you may have noticed it’s been a lot busier than normal with car parking spaces in high demand. A number of cars have been parking illegally or in bays usually allocated for those needing to access our offices.
This is a result of Public Transport Victoria temporarily closing part of the Hurstbridge rail line to complete upgrades. We understand that these closures will be in place for 6 weeks.
To ensure that our customers can still access the Civic Centre and PRACC, we have opened an overflow car park for commuters to use, which will free up spaces for residents trying to access the Council Offices. Our Local Laws Officers have also been located in the area to help direct commuters on where to park.
For the safety of pedestrians and to avoid receiving a parking infringement, it’s important that commuters only park in designated areas.
We thank you for your patience while these changes are in place.
