UPDATE 16/11/2022 -

Unfortunately, due to weather forecasts and ground wetness this weekend’s Community Environment Festival has been postponed!

We look forward to celebrating this event in early 2023 and more information will soon be made available.

Mark your calendars for City of Whittlesea’s latest community event, the Community Environment Festival! Join us in the beautiful surroundings of Lauries Field, Doreen for a day of interactive activities perfect for adventurous explorers to learn about nature and the local environment.

This festival will highlight our local natural environment and teach everyone of all ages the amazing things our local environment through activities such as nature-based fun and games, live butterfly display and various other science activities.

In addition to the many activities on offer, there will also be a range of stalls for you to wander through and learn more about our environment and the little ways each and every one of us can help protect and restore our planet. Learn about the importance of recycling, being sustainable and how you can improve your carbon footprint.

And why not enjoy a BBQ sausage from the local Scouts, for a small gold coin donation, or a hot drink to keep you warm – and if you have a reusable cup, don’t forget to bring it along.

This free event will be held on Sunday 20 November, from 11am to 3pm at Lauries Field, Brookwood Ave, Doreen.
