PUBLIC NOTICE
PROPOSED DISCONTINUANCE AND SALE OF TWO ROAD SPLAYS WITHIN GARRONG AVENUE, WOLLERT

Whittlesea City Council (Council) gives notice under section 206 and clause 3 of Schedule 10 of the Local Government Act 1989 and section 114 of the Local Government Act 2020 that it proposes to discontinue and sell two sections of road reserve (splays) within Garrong Avenue, Wollert, which is shown hatched on the plan below.

If discontinued, Council proposes to sell the land to Lendlease Communities Ltd., the owner/developer of the adjoining estate by private treaty in accordance with its policy.

As part of its community engagement process Council is inviting submissions on this proposal. Any person wishing to make a submission must do so in writing to the undersigned by no later than Tuesday, 14 February, 2023.

A person making a submission is entitled to request in the submission that they wish to appear in person, or to be represented by a person specified in the submission, in support of the submission at a meeting of the Council or its Committee on a date, time and place to be determined by the Council.

All submissions will be considered in accordance with section 223 of the Local Government Act 1989.

Following the consideration of any submissions, Council may decide to discontinue and sell the road reserve, part of the road reserve or not to discontinue and sell the road reserve.
