From amazing new playgrounds to premium fitness equipment to keep you active, your next outdoor adventure is just a stone’s throw away this spring.
You’ll be spoilt for choice with new and interactive equipment popping up at parks and play spaces all over our City, including a climbing wall and spiderweb at Woodvale Park in Mill Park, a basketball court at Trinity Park in South Morang and a spiral slide for young thrill-seekers at Rodger Court Park in Bundoora.
With over 240 parks with playgrounds in the City of Whittlesea, there are so many special spots to discover nearby.
City of Whittlesea Chair Administrator Lydia Wilson said that the newly-upgraded parks and playgrounds are part of Council’s annual program to breathe new life into the City’s outdoor spaces.
“As our City grows, it’s more important than ever that our outdoor areas are well-planned, vibrant and inviting spaces that meet the needs of our diverse community,” Ms Wilson said.
“We’re committed to building high-quality parks and playgrounds so that our community can stay active and socially connected close to home.”
