The three-part workshop will explore the question:
How do we best help our community to come back stronger from COVID-19?
The Community Recovery Budgeting Workshop will take place online over three weeknights in March:
You need to be able to attend all three sessions to take part and, if you do, we will give you $150 to thank you for your time.
You will have to read a little information to help you take part in discussions. These activities can be carried out in your own time in between sessions and would take up no more than 1-2 hours a week of your time.
The workshop sessions will be held entirely online. If you do not have access to a tablet, desktop or laptop computer with an internet connection, we will provide the necessary support to ensure you are able to fully participate.
The event will bring together a diverse range of people from across the City of Whittlesea to hear evidence, discuss the issues together, and produce recommendations. Your recommendations will be presented to Council at the conclusion of the workshop and they will inform how Council prioritises the COVID-19 Community Recovery Fund spending. Council will respond publicly to all recommendations made by the workshop group.
You don’t need any prior knowledge to take part; all we require from you is a willingness to listen to the information presented and share your opinions with us and your fellow community members.
This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape COVID-19 community recovery in the City of Whittlesea.
