One of the challenging things for small businesses is funding ideas, strategies or projects.

In the last twelve months local, state and federal governments have released a variety of grants aimed at helping small businesses grow or adjust in these challenging times.

Understanding what a grant is, what the complete process involves and how to go about actually applying for one can be overwhelming, especially if you have never done it before.

So, in our spotlight this month we are pulling back the curtain on the grant process at a local government level and are asking Rebecca, Daniela and Georgie, our Council connections, to share important insights to help small businesses capitalise on the opportunity to get an idea, strategy or project funded via grants.

Topics to be explored: What is a grant? When do grants come out? What are the top things assessors look for? What are the common things applicants don’t do that impacts on the success of their application? Plus, in our breakout rooms, not only will you get to network, but you will get to ask your council representative questions about the grant process.
