Quarry Hills Bushland Park Master Plan

We have developed a master plan that will help guide the future urban growth surrounding Quarry Hills Bushland Park in South Morang.

The Council-endorsed master plan provides a vision for the future design and management of this regional park.

The park will grow in size from a current area of 220 hectares and include:

  • increased access points
  • reserved bushland
  • new residential areas and existing affected properties
  • park shelters
  • habitat links
  • walking tracks

The park has been created as a result of progressive urban development surrounding the Quarry Hills where subdivision has been permitted, generally up to the 185 metre contour. The land above this contour is dedicated to open space.

We are currently updating the master plan with more detailed landscape planning that will inform the location and scale of visitor areas and the walking/cycling trails that will connect the surrounding growth areas of South Morang, Mernda, Epping and Wollert.
