Residents are entitled to free use of all Yarra Plenty Regional Library branches.

There are 4 library locations in the City of Whittlesea – in Lalor, Mill Park, Thomastown and Whittlesea. A mobile library visits 3 extra sites within the municipality regularly.

Library services include:

  • regular storytimes for babies, toddlers and children
  • extensive catalogue of books, magazines, video games, talking books, movies and music to borrow
  • access to computers and the internet
  • free wireless internet access
  • library materials in languages other than English
  • home library service for housebound residents to borrow library items
