Equipment Grant Program

About the Equipment Grant Program

The Equipment Grant Program is offered as part of Council’s COVID Response Funding.  This grant program is a one-time only opportunity which provides financial assistance of up to $1,000 to not-for-profit groups to cover equipment purchases and operational costs that support the applicant’s COVID recovery activities and beyond.

 

Who can apply

To be eligible applicants must:

  • Be a registered not-for-profit group, as classified by the Australian Taxation Office 
  • Be incorporated or partnered (auspiced) by an incorporated organisation. The partner organisation will manage the funds and be responsible for the delivery and acquittal of the project
  • Have an Australian Business Number (ABN) or qualify to submit a Statement by Supplier
  • Hold current public liability insurance appropriate to the activity outlined in the application
  • Hold a bank account in the name of the applying group
  • Be based within the City of Whittlesea
  • Have been meeting regularly for at least nine months.

 

Supporting Information

To complete your application you will need to provide:

  • Your group’s incorporation number (if applicable)
  • Proof of your group’s membership (name and postcode for each member. E.g. A Smith, 3083)
  • Most recent AGM minutes, including annual financial report
  • Quotes for items costing $500 or more (ex GST)
  • Any other supporting documentation.

Please note: These guidelines include information and criteria for all three grant programs which are part of the COVID Response Funding.

Key dates

Applications open on Monday 3 August 2020 and close Friday 28 August 2020.

Successful applicants will have 6 months to spend their grant, from September 2020 until March 2021.
