Seniors Festival 2023

Welcome to the City of Whittlesea's Seniors Festival, a vibrant part of the state-wide celebration that is the 2023 Victorian Seniors Festival!

This October, we extend a warm invitation to senior residents to enjoy an array of events, activities, and even enjoy free travel, all in the spirit of this year's festival theme: Learn, Love, Live.  

Supported by the Victorian Government, City of Whittlesea’s Seniors Festival celebrates the diverse contributions of our seniors and offer exciting opportunities for new experiences.  

Join us as we learn, love, and live through workshops, social gatherings, come-and-try events, and a whole lot of fun!

Senior’s Festival Launch and Hobby Showcase

Japanese ink art with Junko Azukawa  

Tuesday 3 October, 10am – 12pm 

Experience Japanese ink art, Sumi-e, with Junko Azukawa. You’ll learn to create your own ink, different ink tones and brush techniques. Sumi-e is a powerful way to be in the moment and aware of your surroundings, to express the connection between nature and your inner self. All materials and a morning tea will be provided.
