Delivered Meals - Meals on Wheels

If you feel that food shopping and meal preparation is now a major burden, we can help you by providing delivered meals to you home.

You may also require our delivered meals as you recuperate from illness or an operation; you can start and stop meals as you need.

Our friendly volunteers deliver the meals on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 9.30am and 1pm, so you have meals for the weekend as well. If you are not home, we are unable to leave your meals at the front door to ensure we comply with strict health and safety regulations to protect your wellbeing.

The menu consist of a variety of meals for you to choose from, which changes seasonally. For example most people would prefer cold options during summertime and a choice of meals to heat up during the wintertime.

Each meal consists of:

  • Soup
  • Main Meal (choice of five daily options including vegetarian)
  • Dessert (choice of two daily options)
  • Fruit Juice (choice of apple or orange)

If you have special dietary requirements, we are happy to discuss your individual needs.

From time-to-time delivered meals clients are invited to Lunch in a Bunch events.  These events are a nice alternative to receiving your normal delivered meal and you can get to know other delivered meals community members at the same time.  Lunch in a Bunch provides bus transport to a local venue for lunch and then bus transport back to your home.

Council also offers support with meal preparation in the home.  If you do not want delivered meals, one of our staff can assist you with shopping and meal prep in your own kitchen.

For further information please contact My Aged Care for an assessment.  If the requirement for meals is urgent, please do not hesitate to contact our Customer Engagement Team on 9407 5940.  In emergency cases we can deliver a meal to you the same day you contact us.
