Order new bins

Moving into an existing house

If you are moving in to a previously occupied house and there are no bins, please order your replacement bin online.

It may take up to 5 days before we deliver a replacement bin.

Please ensure you display your property number (not the lot number) clearly on the letterbox or the front of your building.

If we require a Statutory Declaration, we'll let you know.

*Please note that your replacement garbage bin will have a red lid, which may be different to that of your neighbours (dark green lid). There is no difference to the collection schedule or what goes into the bin. This progressive change will align the City of Whittlesea bin lid colours with the Australian Standard.

Building a new house

If you are moving in to a newly built house, you will need to order your garbage and recycling bins. Bins take up to 5 business days to be delivered and there is no fee for these bins.

You must display a house number on your property for identification, whether it is on a letterbox or on a piece of cardboard in a front window.

We require a copy of your property's certificate of occupancy permit before we can deliver your bins. Your builder will have this certificate once the building is complete.

*Please note that your new garbage bin will have a red lid, which may be different to that of your neighbours (dark green lid). There is no difference to the collection schedule or what goes into the bin. This progressive change will align the City of Whittlesea bin lid colours with the Australian Standard.
