Highlights

This workshop enables early years staff to understand the likely experiences shared by refugee backgrounds and introduces approaches to supporting children and their families in early years settings.

Participants will:

• Examine global and local data relating to Australia’s Humanitarian Program and resettlement in the City of Whittlesea
• Use both the Foundation House Trauma Recovery Framework and Three Lenses for understanding
  families’ refugee experiences
• Use practical case studies to consider how staff might apply learnings to their early years’ service context.
