Highlights

This Clean Up Australia Day, we are heading down to one of our precious waterways to do our part. By keeping our waterways clean we are protecting local species and removing any litter/pollution that threatens their homes.

Our waterways provide for 70% of Melbourne's drinking water, and home many species. They also are one of the main transport streams, where rubbish can travel quickly from one spot to another.

We will be learning about local species and habitats through a guided walk as well as the effects plastic may be having on the local environment.

Schedule:

10:00 - 10:30: Arrive and guided walk

10:30 - 11.30: Register/brief/pick-up rubbish

11:30 - 12:00: Morning tea and refreshments to follow.

If you have a pair of gloves please bring them along. We will have spares on the day. Bags will be provided.
