Highlights

The Victorian Government’s Energy Assistance Program is a free service to help Victorians having trouble paying their energy bills.

The first hour of each session will cover:

  • Understanding energy bills
  • Finding, comparing and switching to a better energy offer
  • Applying for utility relief grants and concessions
  • Extending payment deadlines or applying for hardship programs with energy providers
  • Reducing bill costs (how to reduce energy consumption at home)
  • Linking with local services and warm referrals to other services such as financial counselling or the Energy and Water Ombudsman

After the session, attendees will have time to access one-on-one support from Anglicare and can walk away feeling empowered to take control of their energy bills themselves.
