We provide sharps (syringe) containers to residents for medical purposes free of charge, to ensure the safe disposal of needles.

Home users disposing of sharps (e.g. diabetics)

Residents with medical conditions that require sharps disposal are entitled to collect one 4 litre syringe container at a time from our South Morang office (25 Ferres Blvd, South Morang), you may be asked to show proof of residency (rates notice, or any form of ID that shows your name and address).

Businesses such as hairdressers or doctors that use sharps for procedures or services must engage a medical waste disposal contractor to dispose used sharps.
