Tramoo Street streetscape upgrade

A facelift for Tramoo Street

The City of Whittlesea has upgraded Tramoo Street in Lalor to provide a safer and more attractive shopping destination.

The Lalor Master Plan was developed in consultation with the community. It recommended improving the appearance and safety of the precinct to encourage more people to visit for their shopping, business and personal needs.

In June 2023, Council conducted a month-long consultation process. Resident provided feedback in writing, via online and face-to-face on a series of proposed upgrades.

The response was overwhelmingly positive, with a number of suggestions related to parking, safety and streetscape amenity incorporated into the final plan.
