Next date: Wednesday, 10 September 2025 | 06:30 PM
to 08:00 PM
Now more than ever, children need resilience which is critical to be able to self-regulate, make good decisions and negotiate the many challenges in life. Managing emotions, developing self-regulation and building perseverance and persistence are all parts of developing cognitive functioning processes in the brain.
This session examines strategies to promote resilience and identifies possible triggers for challenging behaviours.
• Hear a 7 step plan to guide children’s behaviour and to promote self-regulation
• Provide children with strategies to make informed choices about their actions, interactions and behaviours (EYLF.V.2.0 p.33)
• Understand and be able to articulate to parents the benefits of play.
• Manage risks not eliminate them.
