Planning for learning not activities
Next date: Thursday, 18 September 2025 | 06:30 PM
to 08:30 PM
Planning for learning, not activities, will guide early childhood educators in creating meaningful, child centered plans.
Instead of focusing on isolated activities, participants will explore how to plan with intention, supporting broader learning goals and learning outcomes.
Through discussions and hands-on exercises, educators will learn strategies to observe and interpret children’s thinking as a catalyst to launch into a thoughtful educational program.
Emphasis will be placed on building responsive and adaptable programs that respect children's autonomy and curiosity, while ensuring alignment with curriculum outcomes.
This approach shifts the focus from "what" to do with children to "why" and "how" learning unfolds, promoting deeper, more impactful educational experiences. Educators will leave equipped with practical tools and a reflective mindset, empowering them to cultivate environments where children can engage in meaningful exploration and discovery.
