What the plan does

The preparation of a development plan is a statutory requirement in accordance with the Development Plan Overlay (Schedule 5) in the Whittlesea Planning Scheme.

It includes text and plan components and provides for a road layout and future development of standard and medium density housing on the site. The plan also provides for works to the Plenty Road and McArthurs Road intersection and the construction of on-street car parking on McArthurs Road.

The ultimate subdivision layout will be subject to a separate subdivision permit application, which must be generally in accordance with the development plan if approved.

Exhibition of the plan

As part of a non-statutory exhibition process, we notified potentially affected property owners/occupiers and relevant government agencies about the 1215 Plenty Road, South Morang Development Plan, and gave them the opportunity to make a submission.

The development plan is being exhibited from August 2025 to September 2025.
