City of Whittlesea announces funding opportunity for small businesses

Applications are now open for the City of Whittlesea’s new Business to Business (B2B) Grant Program, which is aimed at helping small businesses procure local products or services from approved local vendors.
The B2B Grant Program offers up to $10,000 per application. The funding offered must be matched dollar-for-dollar by the business.
There are two streams of grants available.
The Business Improvement and Innovation grant stream provides the opportunity to improve business intelligence and operations.
Examples of initiatives that could be funded via this grant stream include web design and development, business coaching and consulting, financial planning, marketing activities, cyber security or AI education, leadership training and sustainability strategies such as energy efficiencies or recycling initiatives.
The Elevating Your Business grant stream is designed to help businesses progress from a micro or small business model to a commercial or activity centre premises. This stream also provides the opportunity to improve the appearance or accessibility of a current commercial premises.
Funding via this stream could help cover costs for exterior and shopfront enhancements, indoor furniture and equipment to activate the operation of the premises, or accessibility upgrades such as ramps, handrails, automatic or easy-to-open entrance doors and customer restrooms.
Whether you are seeking assistance to develop a website or marketing plan, or give your shopfront a much-needed makeover, these grants aim to support businesses that are looking to enhance their presence in the City of Whittlesea.
By offering incentives that are designed to contribute to a prosperous and inclusive economy for all, the B2B Grant Program is expected to strengthen local supply chains, generate long-term sustainability and wealth in the community, and encourage diverse business activities.
