Thomastown Neighbourhood House

Thomastown Neighbourhood House works to engage with the community, advancing social and public welfare by providing support to the disadvantaged, advancing mental health and preventing social isolation and providing a safe and welcoming space with activities and events for the community.

The wellness activities are provided at no cost to the community and are attended by up to 200 community members per week. It provides free creative activities for the elderly, people living with a disability and also provides a playgroup every day of the week from Monday to Thursday.

Thomastown Neighbourhood House sits next to Thomastown West Primary School at the Edgars Road end of Main Street. Best parking is at the IGA Edgars Road car park.

Programs

Thomastown Neighbourhood House offers a range of free daily wellness activities including:

  • Playgroups
    • Arabic Playgroup with Jeeran Services on Mondays
    • Small Talk Playgroup with City of Whittlesea on Tuesdays and Wednesdays
    • Promisetown Playgroup on Thursdays
  • Let’s Move, movement for young adults with disabilities
  • Community Craft Connections
  • English Class
  • Meditation
  • Conversation Café
  • Little Diggers after school family fun club
  • Women’s Making Circle.

And a Social Enterprise Coffee Van, which is open Monday to Friday 9am to 12pm.
