Half-price cat adoptions extended – more time to find your new friend
Published on 12 May 2025
There’s even more time to bring home a new furry family member, with half-price cat and kitten adoptions at the wat djerring Animal Facility now extended until the end of May.
The response to the campaign so far has been incredible. In April, the facility celebrated a record-breaking 168 adoptions of cats and dogs, thanks to overwhelming community support. In addition to adoptions, 72 animals were transferred to rescue partners and 54 were reclaimed by their owners, bringing the total number of animals finding new homes or reuniting with families to an amazing 294 in April alone.
While many animals have already found loving homes, there are still plenty of cats and kittens patiently waiting to meet their perfect match.
If you’ve been thinking about adopting, now is the ideal time. All cats and kittens are health-checked, vaccinated, microchipped and desexed, making it easier than ever to provide a safe and loving home to a new companion.
Located at 20 Companion Place, Epping, the wat djerring Animal Facility provides a safe, caring environment for animals looking for a fresh start. When you adopt, you’re not just gaining a new best friend – you’re giving a cat the second chance they deserve.
