Findon Road extension

Findon Road installation of traffic lights

The City of Whittlesea has completed installation of permanent traffic lights at the intersection of Findon Road and Williamsons Road in South Morang.

The traffic lights, together with the extension of Findon Road completed in 2023, will help to ease congestion and improve access to important locations across the municipality.

The extension runs from Williamsons Road to Danaher Drive. It is a significant investment by the City of Whittlesea to improve the local road network. The connection from Danaher Drive to Plenty Road is under construction by a local developer.

This new road will result in a more even distribution of traffic, particularly:

  • relieving congestion on McDonalds Road
  • freeing up traffic in the Mill Park Lakes residential area.
