Amendment C271wsea – Mernda Regional Recreation Reserve

Amendment C271 proposes to re-zone the land for the Mernda regional recreation reserve to a public park and recreation zone.  It also proposes amending heritage overlay 68 (HO68 - Preston Hall) to allow prohibited land uses, subject to a planning permit.

What area does the amendment apply to?

This amendment affects the following properties in Mernda:

  • 1470 Plenty Road
  • 1475W Plenty Road
  • 1485 Plenty Road
  • 1485W Plenty Road
  • 15A Everton Drive
  • 55A Everton Drive 

What changes are proposed?

The amendment proposes the following changes to the Whittlesea Planning Scheme:

  • re-zone part of the properties in the amendment area to a public park and recreation zone
  • amend planning scheme map number 13 by applying a public park and recreation zone
  • amend schedule to Clause 36.02 public park and recreation zone, to apply a permit exemption for use or development on the subject land in accordance with the Mernda Strategy Plan (amended December 2016)
  • amend the column relating to prohibited uses in HO68 (Preston Hall) from 'no' to 'yes'.
