Creative Writing Project - eBook Anthology

• Participants must be between the ages of 8 and 12, and live, study, or spend time in the City of Whittlesea.
• Submissions must be received via email by 11.59pm, Friday 31 October 2025. Entries received after the closing date may not be considered.
• Entries are to be submitted via email only. No physical paper entries will be accepted.
• Entries must not exceed two pages. Longer entries will not be considered.
• Entries must be submitted using Microsoft WORD. PDFs will not be accepted.
• Entries must include a cover page with the following information:
  • Your name (First name only will be displayed in the eBook)
  • Age
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Title of creative piece
  • Suburb in the City of Whittlesea you live or study in.

• Creative pieces on the theme Possibility and Imagination can be submitted in the format of short stories, poetry, graphics or comics.
• Fonts and text size to be used: Title – ARIAL, size 12; story text – ARIAL, size 10.
• If any pictures/ images are to part of your submission, please attach these in high resolution picture file.
• Entries created (partially or fully) by generative AI will not be accepted.
• Entries must not contain swearing, violence, or inappropriate content or language. Entries including such material will not be considered for the published ebook anthology.
• Final decisions regarding the inclusion of entries for the anthology eBook is at the discretion of the City of Whittlesea and Yarra Plenty Regional Library.
• The final eBook may be published on the Yarra Plenty Regional Library and City of Whittlesea Council websites.
