JAZZPARTY

Melbourne’s soul punks JAZZPARTY are coming to Norris Bank Parklands.

For over a decade JAZZPARTY have turned every gig, whether a sweaty dive or a massive festival into a full-blown party. Fierce, loose and unfiltered, they fuse 50’s RnB, mambo, punk, ragtime, calypso and soul into something all their own. Their lyrics cut close to the bone - ironic, tragic, funny, hopeful - always unmistakably Melbourne.

Think New Orleans meets Twin Peaks: horns blazing, drums pounding, group harmonies lifting, and Loretta Miller’s powerhouse vocals riding the wave.

Born from a “beautiful mistake” and honed in their infamous Monday night residencies, JAZZPARTY have since torn up Golden Plains, WOMAD, Dark Mofo and beyond. Fresh from a sold-out Northcote Social Club and with a new album on the way via Yama-Nui Records, they’re primed to make this experience in the parklands unforgettable.
