City of Whittlesea deck the lawns with Carols by Candlelight
Published on 10 November 2025
The City of Whittlesea is set to sparkle once again with festive spirit as Carols by Candlelight returns to the Civic Centre Lawns on Friday 12 December 2025, from 6pm to 9pm.
The much-loved community event brings everyone together for a magical evening of music, laughter and celebration under the stars.
The night will begin with a fun performance by Team Dream, bringing an energetic Christmas show that will delight children and families. The festivities continue with performances from the Community Carols Choir and Diamond Valley Brass Band, bringing together more than 70 voices from across generations and cultures to fill the night air with timeless Christmas classics.
To close the evening, Glenn Starr and band will take to the stage, performing a joyous selection of festive favourites and timeless Christmas hits. With his smooth vocals and charm, Glenn will deliver a heart-warming show full of laughter and classic holiday cheer.
Families can look forward to free children’s activities including face-painting and craft workshops, roving performers throughout the evening, and of course, a special visit from Santa at 8pm. Printed songbooks will be available on the night so everyone can join in the carols together.
Visitors are encouraged to bring their family and friends, a picnic blanket, and their best singing voices for an evening of Christmas cheer. Delicious food will also be available from a range of food trucks on site.
Join us for a magical evening of music, fun, and community spirit.
