Property proposed for sale
Address: 17-19 Johnsons Road, Mernda
Title details: Lot 1 on Plan of Subdivision 076852 (Volume 08638 Folio 426)

About the proposal
On 2 August 2021, Council resolved to approve the Planning Application No 718577 and issue a Notice of Decision to Grant a Permit for the subdivision of land and the removal of native vegetation in accordance with the endorsed plans and subject to several conditions.
Following this, a proposal was presented to Council on 6 December 2021 that Council subdivide the site into 35 lots, with 32 of these to be sold on the open market and the remaining 3 lots to be reserved for sale and/or lease via an expression of interest, to a registered housing organisation to undertake an Affordable Housing Development. This recommendation was endorsed. Further refinements to improve the concept enabled an increase of lots to 37 and was approved under Secondary Consent on 20 April 2026.
The site is located to the south of Johnsons Road, and to the east of Schotters Road, within the General Residential Zone.
