Whittlesea Bicycle Users Group

Whittlesea Bicycle Users Group

The Whittlesea Bicycle Users Group is a not-for-profit local community group that promotes bike-riding for health, fitness, fun, and as a form of active transport.

Established in 2010, this social group of riders caters for people of all genders, ages, cultural backgrounds, and riding abilities across the City of Whittlesea, with a strong focus on promoting diversity and inclusion. All types of legal bicycles and E-bikes are welcome.

We organise regular rides, including:

  • weekly rides on Sunday mornings, usually on bike paths and sometimes two options for ride distance
  • weekly fast road rides on Saturdays, for those wanting a more challenging ride
  • path rides on Wednesday afternoons
  • monthly Women’s Social Ride, which connects and supports women in a fun and relaxed space
  • and occasional day and overnight trips to explore Victoria’s wonderful range of rail trails.

Ride details are shared via Facebook and on Team App – download Team App from the App Store or Google Play and search for 'Whittlesea BUG', or view on web.
