Beyond Age Project Workshops

Next date: Tuesday, 24 March 2026 | 10:00 AM to 01:00 PM

Three smiling ladies in green lanyards display handmade crafts like yarn projects and papers at an event table.

City of Whittlesea is partnering with Senior Rights Victoria (SRV) to bring the Beyond Age Project to City of Whittlesea residents in 2026.

Beyond Age campaign was developed by SRV and Council on the Ageing (COTA) Victoria in support of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) in 2025. The Beyond Age project challenges ageist attitudes and promotes respect for older people.

The project asks members of the community to reflect upon their lives to showcase different experiences of ageing. By shifting societal attitudes and emphasising the value of age, we can work towards a safer and more inclusive society for older people and combat ageism as one of the significant drivers of elder abuse.

Positive Ageing Team from City of Whittlesea is inviting a limited number of Senior Club representatives from our diverse cultural groups to participate in the Beyond Age Project 2026.
