Sounds of Summer – Skate Park Edition at Olivine

This free community event is open to skaters of all ages, local residents and visitors, to enjoy the new space together.

What’s happening:

• skate demos and beginner skate workshop
• live music from the Bandwagon
• special appearance by Australian Olympic skateboarder Hayley Wilson
• sausage sizzle and delicious donuts
• free coffee
• face-painting and skate-themed temporary tattoos

Meet the artist behind the skatepark artwork and learn about the inspiration for the piece, which honours the Wurundjeri totems Bunjil (Eagle) and Waa (Crow), and celebrates culture, community, and skate and street-art expression.

Location

Parking will be available at the Olivine Recreation Reserve.
Be sure to bring your picnic blanket so you can soak up the good vibes.
Don't forget your skateboard or rollerblades.
