The City of Whittlesea, a Business-Friendly Council, is providing a four-part series of financial workshops exclusively for City of Whittlesea Business Network members in 2026.

The first workshop, Understanding Your Numbers, has been designed for local business by a local business. If your business is up and running but the numbers still feel a little confusing, this workshop is for you.

We’ll break down which numbers matter and where to find them (such as your Profit & Loss, balance sheet, and cash flow), in a way that actually makes sense – so you can make smarter, more deliberate decisions around growth and profitability.

Understanding Your Numbers is a practical, two-hour workshop designed specifically for business owners who want to build financial stability and avoid common pitfalls.

Participants will learn about:

• monthly report reading habits
• identifying trends in revenue and costs
• understanding assets, liabilities and equity
• spotting red flags early.
