Libraries

Our library services are operated by Yarra Plenty Regional Library (YPRL) and are free to all residents of Victoria. Our libraries provide space and resources to help entertain and inform you. With nine branches across the local government areas of Banyule, Nillumbik, and Whittlesea, as well as a Mobile Library, YPRL services a location near you. If you’re looking for a space to study, catch up with a friend, or just need to stay out of the weather for a few hours, you’ll find one at the library!

The City of Whittlesea library service currently includes one destination library (Mill Park), three branch libraries (Lalor, Thomastown, Whittlesea), one mini-branch library (Mernda), two hub libraries (Galada Community Centre, Epping and Olivine Place, Donnybrook) and a mobile library bus service. A library hub will be established in the Kirrip Community Centre, Wollert in 2024.
