City of Whittlesea champions National Child Protection Week

This year, the National Association for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (NAPCAN) will promote the theme "Where we start matters".
Chair Administrator, Lydia Wilson, said this year’s theme was fitting for the City of Whittlesea, and underscored the pivotal role Council plays in providing vital resources, services and opportunities to help shape children's lives.
“The City of Whittlesea is unwavering in its commitment to provide every child with the best possible start. Through an array of programs and events offered year-round, we ensure a strong foundation for our young residents,” she said.
“From our Maternal Child Health services through to libraries, kindergartens, playgroups and more, we want to ensure that all children in the City of Whittlesea have the opportunity to thrive.”
Central to this commitment is the City of Whittlesea's dedication to being a child-safe organisation.
Council has stringent Child Safe policies, procedures, and practices to ensure this commitment is upheld.
