Community Festival 2026

The City of Whittlesea Community Festival returns on Sunday 15 March with a full day of free, family-friendly entertainment, live performances and hands-on activities at the Civic Centre Lawns.

Get ready for a lively community event full of fun, celebration and activities for all ages. Bring your family, friends and pets and enjoy a great day out together.

This year’s festival offers an even bigger program of theatre, music and colourful performances across stages at PRACC and the Civic Centre Lawns, along with plenty of festival favourites.

Visitors can look forward to a mix of eye-catching shows and creative performances, including:

Live performances

The Lawn Stage will come alive with live music and cultural performances from a vibrant mix of local and international artists, delivering global sounds, contemporary beats and high-energy entertainment throughout the day. Melbourne favourites Horns of Leroy will headline the day.

JUNKLANDIA

A fun and energetic music show where recycled materials are turned into surprising instruments, bringing everyday objects to life.

BUNKTOPIA

Created by Jeff Achtem of Bunk Puppets, this playful shadow-puppet show uses ordinary household items to tell funny and imaginative stories for all ages.

BLOOM!

A beautiful aerial performance on custom-built sway-poles, inspired by the colours and movement of flowers and the natural world.

Beyond the stages, the festival offers something for everyone with arts and crafts, theatre shows and food trucks, as well as community stalls, a Pet Expo, a family zone with face painting, a dedicated youth zone, Ageing Well activities, Sustainability Lane and an Emergency Expo. The day will also feature the announcement of our Community Award winners, recognising those who have gone above and beyond to make the City of Whittlesea a wonderful place to live.
