Discounted dog and puppy adoptions extended
Published on 12 November 2025
There’s still time to add a four-legged friend to your family for half the usual cost, after the wat djerring Animal Facility extended half-price dog and puppy adoptions until the end of November.
Since the promotion started in early September, the animal facility in Epping has found new homes for 42 dogs and 10 puppies and more animals become available for adoption each week following vet and behaviour assessments.
The limited-time price reduction is not the only benefit of adopting a needy pup from the animal facility. All pets are health-checked, vaccinated, microchipped and desexed to ensure a smooth transition into their new environment, while staff are experts at matching people with pets that suit their home and lifestyle.
For more information, or to submit an adoption application, go to whittlesea.vic.gov.au/animalfacility or visit the wat djerring Animal Facility at 20 Companion Place in Epping during opening hours:
- Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 10am - 4pm
- Tuesday and Thursday: 12pm - 6.30pm
- Saturday: 11am - 3pm
The wat djerring Animal Facility is closed on Sundays and public holidays.
Quote attributable to City of Whittlesea Mayor, Councillor Martin Taylor:
“This is a perfect opportunity to give a fresh start to a dog in need, allowing them time to get settled in their new home before the summer holidays. Your new best friend will help make the festive period all the merrier.”
