Make home sustainability a reality, speed-date style
Published on 08 January 2026
Who says speed dating is only for romance? You're invited to try a new kind of match-making, pairing you with practical professional advice to make your home more comfortable, energy-efficient and affordable to run.
Speed Date a Sustainability Expert is a free community event where participants can book a 20-minute session with experts in a range of topics including household efficiency assessments, draught proofing, designing for sustainability, electric vehicles, home batteries and resilient gardens. Residents can book in for a session with as many experts as they like on the day.
Designed for homeowners and renters alike, Speed Date a Sustainability Expert supports residents who are considering upgrades, planning renovations, or simply looking for ways to reduce energy bills, lower emissions and improve thermal comfort. Attendees are encouraged to bring along house plans, photos, energy bills and questions to receive tailored, practical advice directly relevant to them.
Join us on Saturday 31 January from 10am – 3pm, at the Plenty Ranges Arts and Convention Centre (PRACC) for the speed dating style fun! Bookings are essential and now open via our event page. We look forward to seeing you there to help make your home sustainability goals a reality this year.
This event empowers residents to take the first step toward a more efficient, resilient and sustainable home through direct access to expert, independent advice.
