The City of Whittlesea is inviting residents from across the municipality and beyond to support and celebrate our local emergency services at the 2026 Emergency Expo, which this year features the 30th annual Blessing of the Emergency Services Fleet.
All are welcome at this free community event on Saturday 3 October at the Plenty Ranges Arts and Convention Centre (PRACC) in South Morang, where attendees can enjoy a free day of family fun while honouring the local heroes who keep us safe.
Running from 10am to 1pm, the expo allows children to explore emergency vehicles and take part in activities such as pony-grooming and face-painting. Families can also enjoy a sausage sizzle and coffee/doughnut van.
Members of the community are also welcome to join emergency services personnel and local faith leaders at the Blessing of the Emergency Services Fleet ceremony, which starts at 10am. This milestone multi-faith celebration recognises our brave workers and volunteers while blessing the vehicles and equipment they’ll use to protect lives and property in the year ahead.
The event will also focus on safe neighbourhoods, with Victoria Police, Neighbourhood Watch and Council raising awareness about community safety.
