Chaman Tiwari was today officially sworn in as the Councillor for Thomastown Ward for the remainder of the current Council term.
Cr Tiwari was elected on 12 June, after the recent Thomastown Ward by-election.
This by-election was held following the resignation of Nic Brooks as the Thomastown Ward Councillor in January this year.
Over the coming weeks, Cr Tiwari will participate in Council’s comprehensive induction program as she commences her role.
