Riverside Reserve

The park and playground at Riverside Reserve in South Morang has undergone a massive $898,000 redevelopment.

The new playground features a range of attractions designed to appeal to children of all ages and abilities, including:

• junior embankment slide
• see-saw
• swing set with junior and toddler seats
• standalone birds nest swing set
• inclusive roundabout/spinning carousel which can accommodate wheelchairs and up to six users at a time
• balance beams and tunnels
• large play tower with inclined rope play and tunnel slide
• monkey bars
• a 25m flying fox
• nature play area including vertical and horizontal log steppers, balance log runners and two log teepees
• basketball half court
• connected walking paths
• a shelter, barbecue and picnic settings
• new trees and landscaping.

Most of this reserve is managed as a conservation area. This conservation area is an extension of the Plenty Gorge Parkland. It contains an abundance of significant vegetation and nature play is encouraged.
