I am a former Mayor of the City of Whittlesea and current Councillor for the South Morang Ward. I am a practising Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria and High Court of Australia, a General Counsel and former administrative appeals tribunal Chairperson. A recently retired Army Major, military veteran and published author, my career also includes the law, Victoria Police, Australian Federal Police, and the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission, plus 18 years volunteering with St John Ambulance and the CFA.
I hold 27 academic qualifications across the law and legal practice, police and community justice, leadership and management, education, training and development, and social and paramedical sciences.
My priorities as a Councillor include strengthening community safety and crime prevention, taking practical action on illegal rubbish dumping, improving local infrastructure, supporting small businesses, advocating effectively for residents, and pursuing practical measures that ease cost of living pressures on individuals and families.
